The staff was pleasant, and the location was favorable, near a gas station and the river with swings and a gazebo. The room was huge and updated, with WiFi, USB ports, a telephone, an exceptionally comfortable bed.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at Scottish Inn. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The free Wi-Fi and USB ports in the room were convenient, and I appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave. The freshly painted walls and new hardwood floors added to the overall cleanliness and the absence of any odors. The porch-like overhang outside each room provided a nice sitting area, and the view of the mountains while enjoying my morning coffee was beautiful. Sam, the owner, was friendly and helpful with any questions I had. The motel's location on the edge of town made it quiet, yet still only a mile away from the center. Additionally, its proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway makes it a great option for a stopover.

The breakfast offerings could be improved by having a coffee pot in the room for added convenience.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to both Maggie Valley and Waynesville. We enjoyed being close to these towns and all the attractions they had to offer. The staff at the hotel were outstanding, specifically Ms. Tammy, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed, including a great A/C, fridge, microwave, TV, and internet access.

Although our overall experience was positive, there were a few things we didn't like. The shower in our room didn't function properly, which was a bit inconvenient.
